Valves used on tree and tubing head are the critical well control device and should always be kept in sound condition during the well life. The valves on x-tmas tree and tubing head could be damaged by long term erosion and corrosion of the produced fluid, and other environmental causes.
The valves seals may fail and cause leaking, and the metal parts may get stuck by rust building. Under these circumstances, the well owner need to replace the damaged valve but don’t want to bother to kill the well first,and that creates the need of the technologies and services on replacing valve under pressure.

Fundamentals of TOP-WELL valve replacing technique
1、isolate the well pressure with specially designed valve replacing device(valve replacer).
2、A lock device lock the valve replacer on to the well head.
3、replacing the valve under ambient pressure by a applying a series of operation on the lock device.
4、remove the valve replacing device while the well pressure is equalized ,and restore the well production.
