The Advantage of deploying velocity string technique with snubbing:
Keeps the reservoir free of contamination introduced by kill fluid. Snubbing eliminates the need for kill fluids.
Lower cost. The cost of kill fluids, fluid handling and disposal is eliminated.
Shorter non-production period. Running a velocity string is a quick operation.
The well will restore its original production rate immediately after deploying the velocity string, while it will take usually months to get back to the original production rate if the well is killed.
If a designed velocity string is too big to be run inside the original production tubing, using snubbing technique to remove the original tubing and deploy the velocity string should be considered because of the advantage of not killing the well.
