The Slip Interlock / Video Monitoring -SIVM


The Slip Interlock / Video Monitoring (SIVM) System is made up of 3 major components working together to enhance the level of safety when performing snubbing operations:
 
       

1. Hydraulic Slip Interlock

The Hydraulic Slip Interlock is a pilot controlled hydraulic check valve system which performs logic functions to control the opening of either Heavy Slips or Snub Slips. The system is designed to prevent the opening of one set of slips before an opposing set of the same type of slip is closed.
 


     

2. Snubbing Basket Video Monitoring / Camera System

The Snubbing Basket Video Monitoring / Camera System is designed to provide the snubbing operator with added information to aid in the safe operation of the snubbing jack. The Video Monitoring system allows for the display of string weight information and remote monitoring and display of selected components on the snubbing jack.
 





 

3. Remote Monitoring Station

The Remote Monitoring Station allows Supervisory personnel to set operational limits and closely monitor the actions being performed by the Snubbing Unit Operator from a remote position. The Remote Monitoring Station also allows for the capture and storage of selected historical data.
